momstown Winnipeg's Birthday Bash Was A Blast!

momstown Winnipeg had our official kick off event last weekend at the Children's Museum! We celebrated our 'birth' and momstown's 4th Birthday! We had a lot of fun and we're already working on our 5th Birthday for next year.

 We had families lined up to enter the event before 9 am!

It didn't take long before our event, which was open to the public, reached capacity. We had a waitlist of moms dying to go to the event! With amazing gift bags worth over $70 each and loads of prizes from our amazing sponsors, it's no wonder why an invitation to our Birthday Bash was in high demand.

The free event was held at the newly renovated Children's Museum. We not only had lots of crafts for the kids, but Kindermusik Discovery was there, along with Dee Dee the Clown and Puff the Clown from Laughter without Boarders. Entertainment at our event was top notch! I had mom's coming up to me throughout the event with nothing but compliments on how much fun their children were having. Children (and parents) got to explore the museum throughout the day as well.

We also had Lindsay from Creative Photojournalism there doing mini photo sessions for the children and she managed to take some amazing event coverage photos for me too. One less thing I had to worry about doing thanks to Lindsay! We just got the photos back and they are amazing as always!

We had coffee from Tim Horton's, not to mention gift cards courtesy of Madison from Tim's Community Cruiser in all the gift bags for all the moms and dads!

La Fiesta Cafecito & Bakery provided cupcakes and a cake for all the guests! It was delicious!

momstown Winnipeg Birthday Bash!

August will be a BIG month for momstown and you're invited to celebrate with us. Each chapter is hosting a children's birthday party, open to the public, complete with Birthday activities and crafts, special guests, loot bags and more! So that will be 17 birthday parties across Canada, so fun and exciting!

momstown Winnipeg will be having our Birthday Bash to celebrate our 'Birth' on August 14th from 9am to Noon at the Children's Museum! Kids can explore musical instruments and play some music with Kindermusik Discovery! Dee Dee the Clown will be performing to make the kids laugh and doing face painting!  And momstown will have crafts and games! We'll also have food, cake and so much more! Our theme in August is music, so be prepared to shake those maracas! You're kids are also free to explore the newly renovated Children's Museum!

Free Event for Winnipeg Families with momstown Winnipeg

momstown Winnipeg is so excited to officially be open! We have our registration now open, our message board is getting some fun chatter happening, and our events calendar is filling up with all sorts of activities for moms and tots/babies, like playgroups, park playdates, car wash playdates, crafty mamas, stroller walks, and much more!

Our big launch party will be in August (so sign up to stay in the loop of this awesome party), but we couldn't wait to celebrate! To celebrate we're having a soft launch event this Saturday open for all! It's a free event for all Winnipeg families.

Picasso in the Park! 

It's painting in the park and it's messy so bring a smock and play clothes!! We set up on the picnic tables & bring out the beautiful coloured tempra paint & a million types of brushes, sponges and fun applicators. Let your child go wild!

The best part about Kildonan Park is there is the playground for pre-painting and it's a perfect picnic spot. Bring a picnic blanket and picnic to hang around for lunch or a snack together. We'll have a covered shelter too, so rain or shine we can paint away.

momstown Winnipeg is gearing up to launch this summer! We are beyond happy with the overwhelming, positive response we are getting! Moms are excited about a momstown.ca chapter coming here to Winnipeg.

While we work hard to set up shop and plan events for you and your kids, we wanted to thank you with a contest! Who doesn't love to win stuff! Welcome Ester to momstown!

We've got one heck of a leader in Winnipeg who's bringing momstown to neighbourhood moms! Ester Raftis is launching momstown into a brand new province and has more excitement for this venture than I can describe.

Ester is not just prepping to deliver momstown to the moms of Manitoba but also to give birth in a few weeks to a new baby boy! Very excited to follow along on Ester's journey into mom of two and as a momstown mama! The whole momstown team from Ontario & Alberta are here cheering for you!
